According to the 10th edition of Chengdu Business Daily on April 26, 2016, in order to protect the precious industrial heritage of Chengdu, the Chengdu Planning Bureau recommended 31 sites of industrial heritage through sorting out and evaluating the existing industrial sites in the downtown area, including 3 sites of cultural and cultural preservation units and excellent modern buildings, to preserve the original. There were 5 functional sites, 8 sites were reused, and 15 sites were protected and utilized.

According to the plan, the sites of heritage that have been listed in cultural and cultural preservation units and excellent modern and contemporary buildings should be protected with reference to relevant laws; the land owners should be informed in advance and the prophase planning consultation should be done well for the land used for the protection of industrial heritage; at the same time, the concrete implementation should be worked out according to the Industrial History Protection Plan for the Central District of Chengdu. The scheme will be submitted to the Chengdu Planning Committee for deliberation and implementation of the protection requirements, and the protection requirements will be incorporated into the planning conditions of the plot; combined with the actual situation of development and utilization, the protection and reuse of the industrial heritage will be realized by means of space and site renovation, functional replacement and so on.

Sichuan Construction Machinery (Group) Co., Ltd. [formerly southwest metal structure factory, now referred to as Chuanjian] was selected as "retaining the original production function point". The above plan is currently in the public notice period.

At the beginning of the 21st century, Sichuan Construction Machinery Factory entered a comprehensive stage of preparation for restructuring. On August 8, 2001, the first shareholders'Congress of Sichuan Construction Machinery (Group) Co., Ltd. was held, and the restructuring of the enterprise was formally completed. Today, through the joint efforts of several generations of Chuanjian people, Chuanjian Group has developed into a national construction machinery industry in the field of scientific research, production and operation in one of the first-class enterprises, relying on Chuanjian people's vision, through hard work, enterprises continue to move forward.
