Chengdu North Railway Station is the second largest marshalling station in southwest China, and the first marshalling station in China to adopt integrated automation system. On April 18, 2007, Chengdu North Railway Station was put into operation.

Chengdu North Railway Station is 15 kilometers away from Chengdu Railway Station. The scale of Chengdu North Railway Station is two-way, three-level and six-yard marshalling station. The station is currently the second largest freight marshalling station in Asia. With a total investment of more than 1.7 billion yuan and more than 100 tracks, it is the second largest marshalling station in China. The main line of Chengdu North Marshalling Station is 47.7 kilometers long, with a total length of 149.73 kilometers and a total investment of 2.030 billion yuan. It covers civil engineering, track, paving, housing construction, electrification of electric power, communication signals and water supply and drainage projects.
